  Sharing Our Thoughts...

I joined the Banff Ladies' Club when it first started 30 years ago as it was a Ladies' club that wasn't affiliated to any other club such as the Round Table or Rotary, so I think there was a need for such a club.

It turned out to be a very good way to meet new people and it welcomed all age groups.

The club at the moment, is as strong as it has ever been. May it  continue to flourish!

When you join a club, be it Golf or Bowling, etc., you concentrate on just one thing. However, at the Ladies Club we have a different theme to enjoy at every meeting, amongst good company and fine food.

After all, 'Variety is the spice of life!'. Why not join us?

    Anne Toal

I joined the Ladies Club when it first started, around  thirty years ago, but left because of work and family commitments.  I rejoined in 2008, after I retired, and became secretary two years later.  I would say that the club has evolved and improved over time, providing a most enjoyable night out with better opportunities to meet and mix with other women over dinner and a wide variety of activities.

Hello, my name is Jean. I was first introduced to the Ladies club after moving to Scotland over seven years ago.

The Ladies club has been an excellent way of meeting lots of people. making lots of friends, and most of all due to the outings we have, seeing the different areas and the culture of the Scottish way of life.

The one memorable event I recall with the Ladies Club was about four years ago, attending my first ever Burns night. It was amazing, something I will never forget.

At present, I enjoy acting as Press Secretary of the club which entails reporting every event that happens to the local paper, the Banffie journal.

We, as a club have grown from strength to strength and will hopefully continue to do so.

     Jean Dickinson, from Blairshinnoch.
